JKP is a respected, family-run business and one of Europe’s leading independent manufacturers of tinplate and aluminium. Known for outstanding customer service and high-quality production, the company operates a high-demand manufacturing site in Nottinghamshire.
R2G was asked to identify energy efficiency opportunities across the facility, with the goal of reducing operational costs and reinvesting savings back into the business.
R2G designed solar systems tailored to JKP’s energy use profile, ensuring on-site demand matched generation. This avoided the pitfall of excess export at low rates, maximising return on investment and payback speed.
Simple operational tweaks were identified across the site, unlocking savings without capital investment. These immediate actions reduced running costs straight away while the solar solution was under review.
By combining flexible solar solutions with simple, low-cost behavioural measures, R2G gave JKP the insight to choose the right level of investment, achieve significant long-term savings, and unlock a property value increase of over £300,000.
